Education Qualification
The candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any State or Nationally Recognised University or a Deemed to be a University under section 3 of UGC. The candidates must be able to read, write and speak the Odia language and have:
Passed Odia as a language subject in the final examination of class 8th in school or educational institute
Passed Middle School Examination with Odia as a language or a subject;
Passed HSC or Equivalent with Odia as a medium of examination in a non-language subject.
Age Limit (as on 1/01/2024)
The candidate should fall within the age limit of 21 years to 38 years as on 1/01/2024, i.e. he/she must not have been born earlier than 2nd January 1986 and not later than 1st January 2003. The upper age relaxation for the reserved category will be provided as per government rules.

OPSC OCS 2026 Selection Process
The selection process for the Odisha Civil Service Examination 2026 for various Group A and Group B posts includes the preliminary examination, main examination, and personality test/interview. The prelims examination will be a screening test and marks obtained in the prelims examination will not be required for the final merit list. Candidates who clear the OPSC OCS Preliminary examination will be shortlisted for the main examination. The final merit of the candidates will be based on the candidate’s total score/ performance in the Mains examination and interview exam.
